FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

For your safety and that of all our customers and employees, we have put in place a number of rules and instructions to be respected throughout your presence at Secrets du Chocolat.

Museum

  • What are the opening hours of the museum?

The museum is open from Tuesday to Saturday, from 9:30am to 12:00pm and from 1:00pm to 6:00pm and on Sunday from 2:00pm to 6:00pm.

  • Do I have to reserve my ticket?

Reservation is strongly recommended to avoid long waits. To book, contact 03 88 55 04 90 or reservation@musee-du-chocolat.com (maximum 10 people per slot). Payment will be made on site, preferably by credit card.

  • What are the time slots for visiting the museum?

Visits are organised with 10 people leaving every 30 minutes, in order to make the tour as smooth as possible.

Morning: departure every 30 minutes from 9.30am to 11am.

Afternoon: Departure every 30 minutes from 1.00pm to 05.00pm.

  • What are the safety rules to respect?

We ask you to keep a distance of 1m50 between each client and to disinfect your hands before the visit: hydro-alcoholic gel is available for this purpose (3 hand washing stations along the route). A direction of visit, forward, has been set up, thank you to respect it. We invite you not to touch the panels, screens and decorations.

  • Is the number of visitors limited?

Yes, we limit the number of visitors to avoid having too many people in the museum at the same time.

  • Is the mask compulsory?

The mask is compulsory from 11 years old, to visit the museum and to participate in the workshops.

  • Are masks distributed in the museum?

Masks are on sale at the entrance of the museum, at the price of 1€.

  • Can I leave my things in a cloakroom?

No, we ask you to leave your coats and other personal belongings in your cars.

Workshops

  • Are the workshops taking place?

Yes, the workshops were able to resume gradually. You can consult the schedules here. The workshops will take place exceptionally in the auditorium, which has been specially fitted out to comply with safety regulations. A visit to the museum is obligatory after the workshop.

  • What are the rules to follow to participate in a workshop?

To take part in a workshop, it is compulsory to wear a mask from the age of 11, as well as all the apprentice chocolate maker's equipment: charlotte, gloves, apron (provided by the establishment). We will ask you to disinfect your hands before the start of the workshop and to respect the floor markings. As for the visit of the museum, no cloakroom is available: no personal belongings (coat, bag, etc.) can be left in the workshop area.

  • Is it necessary to reserve the workshop?

Reservation is compulsory to be able to participate in a workshop. To make a reservation, you can call 03 88 55 04 90 or send an e-mail to reservation@musee-du-chocolat.com. -

  • How long before the start of the workshop should I come?

We ask you to come 15 min before the beginning of your workshop in order to proceed to the different formalities: payment, disinfection, equipment.

  • How many participants is the workshop limited to?

The workshop is limited to a maximum of 10 people.

  • I am accompanying my child; can I attend the workshop?

You can attend the workshop without participating. A delimited area will be indicated to you on your arrival and we will ask you to respect it until the end of the workshop. 

Shop - Restaurant - Tearoom

  • Is the shop open?

The shop is open during the same opening hours as the museum.

  • Is the restaurant open?

The restaurant is open at the usual hours. To find out how to get to the restaurant, please visit secrets-grands-express.fr. Takeaway sales continue for the restaurant, to be picked up from 12 a.m to 1:30 p.m and from 7 to 8:30 pm.

  • Is the tea room open?

The tearoom is closed until further notice.
